About ADDMIX WP 600
ADDMIX WP 600 is waterproof agent in powder form to be mix in cement in certain percentage which alters the water absorption of mortar concrete/cementitious surface and imparts water-phobic properties in it.
Function of ADDMIX WP 600
- Reduces absorption of moisture in capillary pore of cementitious surface thus making them durable for longer period and extend the service life of constructions.
- Prevent sulphate attack from ground water which may attack buried concrete like in footing which otherwise resulting in strength loss, cracking, decohesion etc.
- Prevent attack from acid rain (Sulphur from atmosphere dissolves in rain water to form dilute Sulphuric acid) by making mortars and concrete water phobic.
- Increase plasticity of mortar concrete and reduces the water requirement of it.
Dosing and application area
Dosing of ADDMIX WP 600 is refer to the percent of the weight of cement.
- 3% in PCC and columns & beam of footing.
- 5% in DPC.
- 2% in slab.
- 2% in plaster of all types and up to 5% for area with high proximity to water like bathroom, toilets, kitchen.
Generally, quantity of ADDMIX WP 600 may vary from 2% to 5% of the weight of cement depending on the various factors external and internal.
Advantage and convenience
Since ADDMIX WP 600 is to be mix in cement during normal course of construction, no additional labor, machinery or step/time required which do not increase labor or time cost.
Packing size
ADDMIX WP 600 is available in standard 25kg plastic drum packing packed inside polyethene bag. Packing can be tailor made as per the request of buyer.
Handling precaution
No special handling precaution required while use of ADDMIX WP 600. This material is non-toxic and non-corrosive and completely safe for the user. Inhalation of it has no reported bad effect on the health of the workers though use of aids like mouth and nose cover/mask to avoid inhalation of materials on dusty place is good working practice to prevent long term health hazards.
Storage precaution & shelve life
ADDMIX WP 600 can easily be stored for 36 months and more from the date of manufacturing without degradation if it is stored in original container without any contamination. Direct sunlight and moisture have no effect. Close the lid of the container after taking required material to ensure good shelve life.

Use of ADDMIX WP 600 in construction contributes to the saving of existing resources and avoids causing harm to the environment as it extends the service life of constructions. ADDMIX WP 600 itself is non-hazardous material which is TOTAL ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY MATERIAL.
